Bo's Beach

Bo's Beach comes from Kim Bokamper's PDKN Restaurant Group, the former Miami Dolphins player's hospitality company (also behind Bokamper's Sports Bar & Grill and The Balcony on Las Olas), founded with three partners in 2008. The two-level space sits directly on the southern stretch of Fort Lauderdale Beach, three full bars, open-air seating, and a rooftop with a 270-degree view over the beach and Intracoastal. The kitchen runs a wood-fired oven and a proper raw bar: stone crab claws served chilled with traditional mustard sauce (Thursday through Sunday only), mahi tacos, lobster mac and cheese, a margarita pizza, firecracker shrimp, and hot honey chicken all come up repeatedly as standouts. A sunset happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 3 to 6pm, and the restaurant sits on the water taxi route, making it an easy stop by boat as much as on foot. The reputation is strong but not unanimous: the rooftop specifically holds a 5.0 out of 5 on Tripadvisor (#220 of 965 restaurants in the city), while OpenTable reviews run more mixed. Most visitors describe it as a low-key, easygoing beach-day spot with friendly service rather than a fine-dining destination, a real distinction worth keeping in mind depending on what you're looking for.
